Job summary

This role will oversee planning, coordination, and execution of bridge and highway projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, schedules, and budgets. The ideal candidate will have 5–10+ years of experience in heavy civil and bridge project management, with a proven track record delivering VDOT/DOT-related infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
• 5–10+ years of experience in heavy civil and bridge project management is expected.
• Proven track record delivering DOT/VDOT or related infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage bridge and heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost control procedures.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure efficient communication and execution.
• Oversee contract administration and change order management.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Provide leadership and direction to field personnel and subcontractors.
• Work closely with DOT and public agency stakeholders to maintain project alignment and quality.

• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (VDOT specs preferred), scheduling software (Primavera P6 or MS Project), and cost tracking tools
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
