Job summary

You will lead teams, coordinate with subcontractors and public agencies, manage contracts and change orders, and maintain alignment with DOT specifications on DOT-related infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 5–10+ years of experience in heavy civil and bridge project management.
• Proven track record delivering VDOT or DOT-related infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (VDOT specs preferred) and scheduling/cost tracking tools.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage bridge and heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost control procedures.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure efficient communication and execution.
• Oversee contract administration and change order management.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Provide leadership and direction to field personnel and subcontractors.
• Work closely with DOT and public agency stakeholders to maintain project alignment and quality.
