Job summary

Build People is partnering with a premier General Contractor in South Florida to recruit an experienced Project Manager for bespoke restaurant construction projects. You will oversee from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating owners, architects, designers, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure the highest standards of quality, schedule, and client experience.

The role demands 5+ years in GC environments, deep knowledge of MEP coordination, finishes, and design-driven

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor.
  • Experience delivering high-end restaurant, hospitality, luxury retail, or similarly detailed commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction, MEP coordination, finishes, millwork, and specialty installations.
  • Experience managing demanding clients, designers, architects, and specialty subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contracts, and change management.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage high-end restaurant construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and cost forecasts.
  • Coordinate architects, interior designers, kitchen consultants, engineers, specialty contractors, and vendors.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation.
  • Work closely with the Superintendent to coordinate field operations and maintain schedule performance.
  • Coordinate complex MEP, kitchen equipment, millwork, finishes, lighting, and specialty installations.
  • Manage long-lead and custom materials to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, restaurateurs, designers, and project stakeholders.
  • Monitor project costs and identify potential budget and schedule risks.
  • Lead project meetings and provide clear progress reporting to clients and senior leadership.
  • Ensure exceptional quality control and attention to detail throughout construction.
  • Manage inspections, punch list, commissioning, and final project turnover.

Project Manager – High-End Restaurant Construction

South Florida

Build People is partnering with a highly regarded General Contractor specializing in the construction and delivery of bespoke, high-end restaurant and hospitality projects across South Florida.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager who understands the unique demands of luxury restaurant construction and can take projects from preconstruction through completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who enjoys working on highly detailed, design-driven projects where quality, craftsmanship, schedule, and client experience are critical.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take ownership of restaurant projects, coordinating owners, architects, designers, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure every aspect of the project is delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
