Job summary

ARCO National Construction seeks an Aviation Construction Project Manager to lead aviation design-build projects from preconstruction through completion, with a focus on hangars, MRO facilities, FBOs, cargo facilities, and related airport infrastructure. You will manage estimating, budgeting, scheduling, design coordination, subcontractor management, and project execution while coordinating with owners, design teams, and field leadership.

Travel 25% nationally; based in Boston, MA or St.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• Experience with aviation facilities (hangars, MRO, airport) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Based in Boston, MA, St. Louis, MO, or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Manage aviation construction projects from preconstruction through completion, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, design review, and execution.
• Lead complex aviation construction work including hangars, MRO facilities, FBOs, cargo facilities, aircraft support buildings, aviation manufacturing facilities, and other airport-related infrastructure.
• Work closely with owners and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
• Participate in proposal meetings with owner to review scope and provide value engineering ideas.
• Support aviation pursuits with site reviews, constructability input, schedules, budgets, and client meetings.
• Lead subcontractor buyout and ensure scopes are complete and aligned with schedule and budget.
• Partner with Superintendent to ensure safety, quality control, and schedule.

This is a role for an experienced Construction Project Manager, Aviation Project Manager, or similar construction professional who is ready to take ownership of projects including aircraft hangars, MRO facilities, FBOs, cargo facilities, and other airport-related infrastructure. You will lead estimating, budgeting, scheduling, design coordination, subcontractor management, and project execution while working closely with owners, design teams, and field leadership.

A Day in the Life:

• Manage aviation construction projects from preconstruction through completion; including estimating, proposal preparation, contract negotiations, scheduling, budgeting, design review, and execution
• Lead complex aviation construction work including hangars, MRO facilities, FBO's, cargo facilities, aircraft support buildings, aviation manufacturing facilities, and other airport-related infrastructure
• Work closely with owners and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings
• Participate in proposal meeting with owner to review the scope of work and provide value engineering ideas
• Support aviation pursuits by helping with site reviews, constructability input, schedules, budgets, scope reviews, and client meetings
• Lead subcontractorbuyout and ensure scopes are complete, coordinated, and aligned with the project schedule and budget

Necessary Qualifications:

• 5+ years of construction project management experience
• Experience with aviation, hangars, MRO, airport facilities, industrial, manufacturing, federal, defense, logistics, or technically complex projects preferred but not required
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required
• Based in Boston, MA, St. Louis, MO, or willing to relocate

This represents typical base compensation for the role. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.

Pay Range

$120,000 - $162,000 USD
