Job summary

ARCO/Murray National Construction seeks a Project Manager dedicated to the design/build automotive construction process to join our Automotive Construction Team. You will lead project performance, coordinate with clients and design teams, and drive results from concept through closeout.

This role requires a BS in Engineering, 2–5 years in construction management or design, and experience with automotive dealership projects (ground-up or renovations). We offer strong benefits and growth.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or related field required.
  • 2–5 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
  • Experience with automotive dealership construction (ground-up or renovation).
  • Familiarity with OEM facility programs (Ford, GM, Stellantis, Toyota, Honda, etc.).
  • Experience building or renovating service bays, showrooms, parts areas, EV charging infra, and car wash facilities.
  • Experience working around live dealership operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of the project from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Work with clients and design team to develop preliminary concepts and budgets.
  • Participate in proposals, review scope, and negotiate contracts & fees.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection, buyout, and scheduling.
  • Identify opportunities to procure materials or equipment directly when advantageous.
  • Lead preconstruction planning and on-site meetings to solve constructability and scheduling issues.
  • Track project performance vs budget and prepare progress billing reports.
  • Ensure safety and quality while making the process engaging for clients and teams.

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager who is passionate about the design/build construction process to join our Automotive Construction Team. We are looking for a Project Manager to help lead automotive dealership construction projects including new ground-up facilities, service expansions, showroom renovations, and OEM image program upgrades. At ARCO, every associate is empowered to drive their success.

A Day In The Life
  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout
  • Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget
  • Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors
  • Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule
  • Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues
  • Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with client
  • Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports

Necessary Qualifications
  • BS in Engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years of construction management or engineering design experience
  • Experience with automotive dealership construction (ground-up or renovation)
  • Familiarity with OEM facility programs (Ford, GM, Stellantis, Toyota, Honda, etc.)
  • Experience building or renovating:
    • Service bays / service drives
    • Showrooms and customer experience areas
    • Parts storage and logistics spaces
    • EV charging infrastructure
    • Car wash / detail areas
  • Experience working around live dealership operations
