ARCO a Family of Construction Companies in Dallas is seeking a motivated Project Manager with a passion for the design/build process. You will oversee projects from design to completion, taking full responsibility for performance, client satisfaction, and profitability.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field required.
• 2–5 years' construction management or engineering design experience.
• Experience leading ground up commercial or light industrial projects.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of a project from preconstruction through closeout.
• Collaborate with clients and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
• Participate in proposal meetings to review scope, reduce costs, add value engineering and negotiate contracts & fees.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout for all trades and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to procure materials/equipment directly when advantageous to budget or schedule.
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work, project schedule and site logistics with the team.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors and vendors to solve constructability or manpower issues.
• Lead on-site weekly/bi-weekly meetings to address progress and challenges with the client.

About You

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager who is passionate about the design/build construction process to join our team in Dallas. A Day In The Life

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout
• Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget
• Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors
• Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule
• Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues
• Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with client
• Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports
• Most importantly…find a way to make the construction process FUN for your clients, subcontractors, and vendors without sacrificing on QUALITY or SAFETY!!!

Necessary Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field
• 2-5 years' of construction management or engineering design experience
• Previous experience leading ground up commercial or light industrial projects is required
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project

Typical base compensation for the Project Manager role is between $84,000.00 and $160,000.00. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.
