Job summary

Russo Development, based in Carlstadt, NJ, is seeking a dedicated Project Manager - Architecture to lead design coordination for mix-use, industrial, and data center warehousing projects. The role partners with in-house designers and external consultants to keep design schedules on track and ensure compliant, high-quality building elevations.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Architecture, 7+ years of related experience, and strong skills in SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Architecture or related field.
• 7+ years of experience with design and construction coordination for large mixed-use and industrial projects.
• Strong managerial and organizational skills.
• Proficient in SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite to develop elevation concepts.
• Experience in site planning and building design.
• Excellent technical, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design process for mix-use or industrial/data center warehousing projects.
• Oversee external consultants (architectural, MEP, structural, interior, landscape).
• Review and coordinate drawings to keep design schedules on track.
• Develop conceptual elevations using SketchUp modeling.
• Collaborate on site planning and site design.
• Apply code standards including IBC, accessibility and energy codes.
• Assist construction team with problem solving, value engineering and submittals.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager - Architecture to join our growing team.

The Project Architect will work together with an in-house design team, on behalf of the developer, to manage the coordination of design consultants including architecture/MEP/structural/interior design and landscape architects.

The candidate chosen for this position will be based out of our corporate office in Carlstadt, NJ.

Position Responsibilities

• Candidate will be responsible to manage the design process for mix-used or industrial/data center warehousing projects.
• Responsibilities include overseeing the design process including the management of external consultants (architectural, MEP, structural, interior designer and landscape architects.)
• Individual will be responsible for reviewing and coordination of drawings, including keeping design schedule on track.
• Individual must have strong building elevation design experience as they will be asked to assess and develop conceptual building designs using Sketch-up Modeling.
• Collaborate with design team members on site planning and site design.
• Strong understanding of Code Standards including International Building Code, Accessibility Codes and Energy Code.
• Ability to assisting construction team in problem solving, value engineering and submittals.

Requirements

• BS degree in Architecture or related field.
• 7+ years of experience, with a strong background in design and construction coordination for large multi-family mixed used projects and industrial warehousing.
• Must possess strong managerial and organization skills.
• Must be proficient in Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to design various building elevation concepts for owner’s approval.
• Demonstrated ability in Site Planning and Building Design.
• Must exhibit strong technical, verbal, and written skills.
• Must be organized and work well in a collaborate team environment.
• Must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong 3-D modeling/rendering skills is a plus.
