Job summary

FSI Architecture, PC is seeking a Mid-Level Architect to join our award-winning New York City based firm. We focus on preservation, restoration, and investigation, delivering comprehensive services to our clients.

We are looking for an efficient candidate with hands-on field experience and strong communication skills to contribute to a diverse portfolio. The role involves drafting, site inspections, and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Architecture, AE, or equivalent from an Accredited University/College.
• 5-8+ years of relevant professional experience (FISP Knowledge/Experience is required).
• RA License preferred.
• Proficiency in drafting and detailing (AutoCAD).
• Knowledge/Experience with NYC Building Codes & Authorities having Jurisdiction.
• Experience with field testing and measurement tools.
• Well-rounded communication skills; both oral & written.
• Knowledge of tangential areas of architecture is a plus (interior, restoration, building systems).
• All prospective applicants must be US citizens or be eligible to work in the United States; however, sponsorship is not offered.

Responsibilities

• The ability to perform FISP inspections.
• Observe, evaluate, and document site conditions and compile in written reports.
• Knowledge and the ability to interpret NYC and New York State building codes.
• Drafting (AutoCAD/Revit) of mechanical sets and knowledge of detailing.
• Communication with Clients and the ability to conduct site meetings.
• Multi-task and work alongside colleagues in a multi-disciplinary office environment.

We are looking for an efficient and self-motivated candidate to join our interdisciplinary team who enjoys hands-on field environments, creative problem-solving, and working closely with others on a variety of tasks and projects in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Interested candidates must have:
