Overview: Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is responsible for the cloud infrastructure that powers Microsoft’s online services. The Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) team within CO&I manages large-scale datacenter projects, including design, construction, and lease activities. We seek a passionate, high-energy leader to oversee regional EPC projects, align priorities with EPC functions, and support team success. This role is primarily remote but prefers candidates near regional hubs. We are committed to an inclusive culture that fosters positive impact daily.

Responsibilities

1. Lead EPC Projects: Manage assigned projects, ensure team engagement, and maintain accountability to EPC leadership. Promote best practices, foster team morale, and prioritize team success.
2. Change Management & Communication: Anticipate project impacts, communicate changes proactively, and adapt plans accordingly. Share relevant information to facilitate workflow.
3. Project Delivery & Oversight: Ensure project quality, monitor budgets, and oversee project controls (e.g., PERs, PSRs, Change Orders). Resolve issues or escalate as needed.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with CO+I, CSE, RE&F, and other stakeholders. Share process updates, attend key meetings, and promote process improvements for cost savings and efficiency.
5. Cost & Procurement Management: Identify cost-effective solutions, oversee procurement activities, and ensure resource adequacy for timely project completion.
6. Performance & Risk Management: Establish project goals, track progress via metrics and dashboards, and communicate risks. Ensure safety standards and conduct safety audits and incident investigations.
7. Design & Vendor Oversight: Review engineering plans, identify risks, and ensure compliance with standards and contracts. Monitor vendor performance and financials.
