Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our culture and drive successful project delivery across engineering, installation and start-up phases. You will plan, schedule, organize and direct projects while maintaining budget and schedule.

You will interface with customers to maximize satisfaction, ensure safety and quality, mentor others and grow with the organization as we continue to expand our 20-year track record and values.

Qualifications

• Expert project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems).
• Advanced coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills; solid leadership orientation.
• Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills; solid programming skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of IT networking principles; advanced cost/financial analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, organize and direct projects from initiation through closeout.
• Coordinate application engineering, field installation and start-up of assigned projects.
• Ensure projects are executed within budget and time schedules, keeping cash flow healthy.
• Interface with customers to maximize satisfaction, safety and quality across all projects.
• Lead direct reports on larger/critical accounts and manage multiple priorities.

• Highest level of Project Manager has direct reports, high volume and/or critical accounts and customers.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You'll Need

Requirements

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 7-10 years relevant engineering, field service or project management

• 5 years supervisory

Preferred Experience: (but not required):

• Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation
