Job summary

Convergint Technologies, LLC is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join a fast-paced, growth-focused culture in Hoffman Estates. This role offers growth opportunities as the company expands and delivers complex building automation, fire alarm, and electronic security projects.

You will lead planning, scheduling, and execution, while ensuring customer satisfaction, safety, and quality across projects. Strong leadership, IT networking basics, and financial acumen are essential for success and

Qualifications

• Expert project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems).
• Advanced coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills.
• Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills; troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Basic knowledge of IT networking principles.
• Advanced financial analytical skills including cost control.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, organize and direct projects from inception to start-up.
• Interface with customers to maximize satisfaction, safety and quality on all projects.
• Ensure projects are executed within budget and time constraints and maintain positive cash flow.
• Lead a team with direct reports on high-volume or critical accounts.
• Perform other duties as required by project needs.

• In addition, position is key interface with the customer and responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all assigned projects.
• Highest level of Project Manager has direct reports, high volume and/or critical accounts and customers.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You'll Need

• Advanced coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills; solid leadership orientation - Actively seeks ways in which to act as a role model, guide, develop and mentor others within the organization.
• Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills; solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of IT networking principals.
• Advanced financial analytical skills including cost control.

Requirements:

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 7-10 years relevant engineering, field service or project management

• 5 years supervisory

Preferred Experience: (but not required):

• Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation
