Overview

Manages medium to large projects as measured by project scope, budget, and schedule.

Demonstrates baseline competence of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK); including nine knowledge areas (Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk, and Procurement Management).

Responsibilities

• Manages matrix project teams including team members located at other domestic Abbott sites, and external vendors.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the business and division business goals.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with Director and DVP level business leaders. Demonstrates positive influence and impact with first-line and middle management. Communicates effectively with management, peers, and team members.
• Shares lessons learned with team members.
• PMP certification highly desirable, but not required.

Qualifications

• Min. Experience: Has 4 – 6 years of project management experience; 1 – 2 years of previous project manager (leadership) experience.
• Min. Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
