Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Project Manager to lead internal initiatives from initiation to completion in Milwaukee, WI. You will secure resources, manage budgets, and drive projects across departments to meet scope, schedule, and cost targets.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Business/PM or related field and at least 2 years in project management, with strong communication and organizational skills. PMI certification or a PM emphasis is a plus.

  • Using project management expertise to plan, monitor, and manage internal projects from initiation through completion
  • Securing required resources and using formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes
  • Managing projects to ensure on‑time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs
  • Independently leading complex departmental project/support assignments and/or participating in cross‑departmental projects
  • Defining the objectives to be accomplished by the project team together with department management
  • Developing the project plan with the team
  • Directing team members to determine the best methods to achieve the project objectives
  • Allocating staff and budget resources required to achieve project objectives
  • Identifying and solving a range of problems in straightforward situations
  • Analyzing possible solutions and assessing each using standard procedures, developing a recommended approach
  • Conducting analysis to identify the scope and nature of a business and/or system problem
  • Accomplishing the stated project objectives through key project management responsibilities
  • Developing, maintaining, and revising project deliverables
  • Gathering and delivering metrics as required by the project
  • Developing presentations and communications at the direction of the project manager lead
  • Identifying alternative options in the development and enhancements for new policies and processes
  • Managing project risk through the development, maintenance, and revision of reports and tracking tools
  • Understanding the key business drivers as they relate to the projects
  • Adapting to the various internal procedures and forms while maintaining close links with the business partner representatives
  • Explaining information and persuading others in straightforward situations
  • Effectively interacting, negotiating, and influencing project teams and business partners to provide acceptable solutions and results
  • Acting as a liaison to facilitate an understanding and partnership between business clients
  • Gathering and delivering day‑to‑day progress of a project as it relates to managing scope, schedule, cost, and quality
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Business, Project Management or related field preferred OR a significant amount of directly‑related work experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience/knowledge in processes and project management, including analysis and documentation
  • Ability to work with general direction to scope, plan and manage cross‑department or multi‑department projects
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage mid‑complexity assignments
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Seen as a team player and supportive of group decisions and ideas
  • Written and oral communications skills with the ability to build rapport within the company, field, and/or outside vendors
  • High degree of personal initiative and motivation
  • Degree with a project management emphasis or PMI certification preferred
  • Experience with project methodology through project life cycle phases preferred
