Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is partnering with an established structural steel contractor in Wisconsin to hire a Structural Steel Project Manager. The role focuses on taking ownership from planning to completion of steel erection projects, coordinating with field crews, and ensuring successful delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in structural steel project management, a strong grasp of drawings and specs, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural steel erection, steel construction, or structural steel project management.
• 5+ years of relevant project management experience preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and understand project specifications.
• Confident communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of structural steel erection projects from start to finish.
• Work with field crews, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, materials, and equipment.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with site teams to keep projects moving and resolve issues.
• Control project costs, change orders, and overall performance.
• Build strong relationships with general contractors and stakeholders.

Are you an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager looking for more ownership, exciting projects, and the opportunity to make a real impact?

We're partnering with an established structural steel contractor in Wisconsin that's looking to bring an experienced Project Manager into its team. This is an opportunity for someone who knows the steel erection industry, understands what it takes to deliver successful projects, and enjoys being involved from initial planning right through to completion.

What You'll Be Doing

• Taking ownership of structural steel erection projects from start to finish.
• Working closely with field crews, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients.
• Managing project schedules, budgets, materials, and equipment.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Keeping projects moving by solving problems and coordinating with site teams.
• Managing project costs, change orders, and overall performance.
• Building strong relationships with general contractors and project stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in structural steel erection, steel construction, or structural steel project management.
• Ideally 5+ years of relevant project management experience.
• Strong understanding of how structural steel projects operate in the field.
• Ability to read construction drawings and understand project specifications.
• Confident communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
