Job summary

Dashiell Corporation is seeking a Project Manager to lead turnkey construction of high voltage substations and transmission lines in Westlake, TX. The role focuses on development, planning, execution and monitoring of complex electrical infrastructure projects.

You will oversee budgets, schedules, safety and quality, coordinating with Purchasing and multiple project teams to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with contract requirements. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering required; Professional Registration preferred.
• 10 years of experience in design, construction, or operations of substations/transmission lines.
• 10 years of supervision/management of budgets and work groups preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for cost, schedule, safety, quality and completion of construction projects.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to expedite materials for project construction.
• Manage multiple project teams.
• Prepare and maintain cash flows, monthly billing and change orders.
• Prepare and maintain monthly construction progress reports and re-projections.
• Resolve inter-group conflicts to meet project goals.
• Travel for projects as required; other duties as needed.

Primary Function

Responsible for the development, planning, execution, and monitoring of projects focused on the turnkey construction of high voltage electrical substations, transmission lines and distribution lines.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Accountable for the cost, schedule, safety, quality and completion of construction projects
• Coordinate work with Purchasing to ensure that requested material is expedited and received as needed for the construction of a project.
• Manage multiple project teams.
• Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of cash flows, monthly billing, preparing and obtaining change orders for assigned projects.
• Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of monthly construction progress reports, re-projections, files, etc, required for the construction of a project.
• Resolve inter-group conflicts, project conflicts and delays as required to meet project construction goals.
• Travel out of town for short periods of time as required by projects and assignments.
• Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil Engineering, or equivalent is required. Professional Registration is preferred. 10 years experience in the design, construction, or operations of substations and/or transmission lines is required. 10 years of experience in the supervision/management of budgets and work groups is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

• This position requires minimal physical effort.
• Must be able to endure prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer for a minimum of 8 hours a day
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to year around weather conditions and noise.
• Must be able and willing to travel overnight for trainings and/or meetings as required (10%)
• Working extended hours, including weekends, may be required periodically.
• May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
