Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated, a leading real estate services firm, seeks an experienced Project Manager to join the Philadelphia-based team. You will manage a diverse portfolio of corporate, retail, hospitality, and industrial projects, acting as the primary client contact from planning through closeout.

The role requires 5–7 years of PM experience in commercial real estate, strong budgeting and scheduling skills, and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of progressive project management experience in commercial real estate.
  • Proficiency with project management software including MS Project, Bluebeam, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across sectors including corporate office interiors, base building improvements, retail fit-outs, hospitality renovations, and industrial facilities.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, developing relationships and understanding their business objectives to deliver solutions that meet strategic needs.
  • Lead project teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants through all project phases.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress against benchmarks and addressing issues proactively.
  • Conduct site visits to verify quality, safety, and adherence to specifications.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering while maintaining quality.

Position Overview

JLL Project & Development Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Variable Markets team in the Philadelphia region. This role will manage a diverse portfolio of corporate office projects along with retail, hospitality, industrial, and other commercial project types. The successful candidate will serve as the primary client contact throughout all project phases, from planning and design through construction and closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Location: Philadelphia, PA and surrounding areas

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site visits to verify quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Manage project financials including budget development, cost tracking, change order review and approval, invoice processing, and financial reporting.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions while maintaining quality standards.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and lead design development, ensuring alignment with client requirements, building codes, and jurisdictional regulations.
  • Review construction documents for constructability, completeness, and compliance.
  • Facilitate permitting processes with local authorities having jurisdiction throughout the Philadelphia region.
  • Oversee contractor selection and procurement processes.
  • Manage construction administration including RFI responses, submittal reviews, change order negotiations, and punch list coordination.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and JLL quality standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive project management experience in commercial real estate, with demonstrated experience managing corporate office projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and project delivery approaches.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills with the ability to interface effectively with C-level executives, contractors, and project teams.
  • Strong financial acumen including budget development, cost control, and change management.
  • Proficiency in project management software including Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with building codes and permitting processes in Philadelphia and surrounding municipalities.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly throughout the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certification such as PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or similar credentials.
  • Experience with JLL systems and processes.
  • Established relationships with architects, engineers, and contractors in the Philadelphia market.
  • Experience managing projects for Fortune 500 corporate clients.
