Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of progressive federal government project management experience.
  • Experience managing technology-focused projects involving information systems or digital services.
  • Strong communication, organization, facilitation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall management, direction, administration, and quality oversight for assigned projects and workstreams, ensuring activities meet requirements, schedules, and performance expectations.
  • Provide project management oversight for technology-focused workstreams involving information systems, application development and modernization, digital services, and related IT solutions.
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans and schedules with tasks, milestones, resources, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including employees and subcontractor personnel, to ensure responsibilities are assigned and work progresses as planned.
  • Coordinate with technical leads, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements, risks, and impacts on schedules and deliverables.
  • Monitor performance, risks, issues, dependencies; identify concerns and coordinate mitigation actions.
  • Prepare and maintain project status reports, risk/issue registers, action-item trackers, and meeting records.
  • Plan and facilitate kickoff and recurring status meetings, stakeholder reviews, and retrospectives with effective communication.

Description

Provides overall leadership and day-to-day management for complex federal technology, digital services, and information management projects. This role translates customer and contractual requirements into clear project plans, coordinated work assignments, realistic schedules, and measurable deliverables. Ensures technical, business, and support teams remain aligned on priorities, responsibilities, and delivery expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Oversees project performance, staffing, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, and communications while maintaining visibility into overall project health. Serves as a key point of coordination among customer stakeholders, project personnel, subcontractors, and company leadership to address challenges and support timely decision-making. Helps ensure project activities and deliverables are completed accurately, on schedule, and in accordance with established requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall management, direction, administration, and quality oversight for assigned projects and workstreams, ensuring activities are executed in accordance with established requirements, schedules, and performance expectations.
  • Provide project management oversight for technology-focused workstreams involving information systems, application development and modernization, digital services, content management, and related IT solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project plans and schedules covering tasks, milestones, resources, dependencies, deliverables, target dates, and completion status.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including employees and subcontractor personnel, to ensure responsibilities are clearly assigned, resources are appropriately aligned, and work progresses according to plan.
  • Coordinate closely with technical leads, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand technical requirements, dependencies, risks, resource needs, and potential impacts to project schedules and deliverables.
  • Monitor project performance, staffing, quality, risks, issues, and dependencies; identify emerging concerns and coordinate appropriate mitigation or corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain project status reports, risk and issue registers, action-item trackers, meeting records, schedules, and other project management documentation needed to maintain visibility and accountability.
  • Plan and facilitate kickoff meetings, recurring status meetings, stakeholder reviews, retrospectives, and other project working sessions while maintaining effective communication with customer stakeholders, project personnel, subcontractors, and company leadership.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a management or technical discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent applicable experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management through relevant professional experience; PMP certification may also demonstrate proficiency.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive federal government project management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex federal government projects.
  • Experience managing technology-focused projects involving information systems, application development or modernization, digital services, content management, or related IT environments.
  • Working knowledge of IT project delivery concepts and the ability to effectively coordinate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and system users.
  • Strong communication, organization, facilitation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete applicable federal suitability and background investigation requirements.
