TM Construction Management is a Massachusetts construction management and general contracting company serving commercial, residential, hospitality, and state/public-sector projects.

TM Construction offers the opportunity to join a growing commercial operation where you'll have meaningful ownership of your projects rather than being limited to one piece of the construction process. The team is continuing to build its commercial capabilities and pursue larger state and bonded work.

What You'll Do

As an experienced Project Manager who understands how to run a commercial construction project, you will manage the financials, coordinate subcontractors, communicate with clients, and keep the entire job moving forward.

• Own commercial construction projects from planning and startup through completion and closeout.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, job costs, billing, and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate subcontractors, materials, deliveries, and project timelines to keep work moving.
• Review contracts, subcontracts, blueprints, specifications, and required project documentation.
• Identify, document, price, and manage change orders while monitoring their impact on cost and schedule.
• Serve as a key point of communication for clients, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal partners.
• Proactively identify and solve project issues while maintaining quality, safety, and schedule expectations.
• Maintain organized project records and drive punch lists, warranties, final documentation, and closeout requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Proven commercial construction project management experience with ownership of projects throughout the full lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of budgets, job costs, forecasting, change orders, billing, and project profitability.
• Ability to independently read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, materials, and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong client communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and construction-management software such as Procore, Buildertrend, Sage, or similar.
• Ability to take ownership, determine what needs to happen next, and move projects forward without significant handholding.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work primarily from the Wakefield office while visiting project sites as needed.

Preferred Experience

• Certified payroll and prevailing-wage exposure
• State, municipal, public-works, or bonded project experience
• Experience working with union subcontractors
• Sage 100 or Procore experience
