Job summary

VTG is seeking a Project Manager to support our Virginia Beach, VA office. You will lead complex government projects, manage staffing, and ensure progress within budget and timelines.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience; SE3 contract and PMP are desirable. Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project is expected; US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews project proposals to determine time frames, funding, staffing and resources.
• Establishes work plans and staffing for each phase of the project.
• Confers with staff to outline work schedules and assign duties.
• Directs and coordinates activities to keep projects on schedule and budget.
• Reviews status reports and adjusts schedules as required.
• Prepares project reports for management and clients.
• Provides technical advice and resolves issues with project personnel.
• Coordinates with government agencies and other regulatory bodies.
• Assists in execution of System Operation Verification Tests and documentation.
• Conducts planning, site surveys, and configuration management functions.
• Assists in preparing installation and as-built drawings.
• Makes technical and procedural recommendations.

Overview

What will you do?

• Reviews complicated project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
• Confers with project staff to outline work schedule and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
• Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
• Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
• Assist in execution of System Operation Verification Tests and preparation of documentation.

• Assist in managing the preparation of installation drawings and as-built drawings.

VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $90,000 - $130,000/yr, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
