Stafford County, VA is seeking a Project Manager to oversee complex water and sanitary sewer utility projects and building development within capital improvement plans. The role requires coordination with multiple agencies, consultants, and departmental teams.

The Project Manager performs difficult professional work related to the design, construction and coordination of utility and or public construction projects on a larger scale with more complex scope which involve interface with various agencies, community stakeholders, and departmental teams. These projects include water and sanitary sewers utility engineering and or building construction, which may include new construction or renovation of buildings and larger development projects. Work is performed under general supervision. Supervision is exercised over professional, technical and/or clerical personnel.

Project Manager II: A combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or related field and 5 years of experience with construction or project engineering/management of large projects.
Project Manager I: A combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or related field and 3 years of experience with construction or project engineering/management of large projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
