What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead custom automation projects from initiation through completion
  • Own project budgets, schedules, milestones and overall project execution
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project
  • Manage customer expectations, project changes and scope creep
  • Track project expenses and forecasts and identify potential financial risks
  • Build and maintain project timelines, monitor progress and address delays
  • Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, vendors and other project stakeholders
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication around progress, risks, issues and next steps
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Maintain project documentation, work breakdown structures, issue/RAIL lists and reporting
  • Make sure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget and to customer quality expectations
  • Support continuous improvement of project processes and execution

What they’re looking for:

  • 3-7+ years of Project Management experience, ideally within industrial automation, custom machinery, manufacturing or another industrial solutions environment
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, scope and quality
  • Strong customer-facing experience and the ability to manage expectations throughout a project
  • Experience leading and coordinating cross-functional technical teams
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, negotiation and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt as project requirements change
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
  • General technical understanding of mechanical engineering, tooling/machining, electrical controls/automation and machine-building practices

Nice to have:
