Job summary

Synectics Inc. in Vadnais Heights, MN seeks a licensed Professional Engineer to lead complex engineering projects and coordinate cross-office teams across multiple locations.

This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach to delivering high-quality results. You will manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and safety compliance while developing plans and supervising project delivery through all phases.

Qualifications

• PE license required and active.
• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Proven experience managing projects and coordinating work across engineering teams.
• Strong collaboration across multiple office locations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate projects to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Develop project plans and oversee execution by project teams.
• Administer construction activities and support delivery through all phases.
• Maintain client relationships and support business development.
• Prepare fee proposals with guidance from Department Manager.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers through guidance and training.
• Monitor project financial performance and budget tracking.
• Conduct existing condition evaluations and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with design safety standards and company expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple projects or large projects with moderate complexity, ensuring successful delivery of scope, schedule, budget, and quality
• Develop project plans, scope, and criteria, and oversee execution by project teams
• Perform construction administration activities and support project delivery through all phases
• Maintain client relationships and support business development efforts, including networking and use of CRM/tools
• Prepare fee proposals and support pursuit efforts with Department Manager guidance
• Support development of junior engineers and designers through day-to-day guidance and training
• Monitor project financial performance, including budget tracking and coordination on receivables
• Conduct existing condition evaluations and prepares technical reports
• Ensure compliance with design safety standards and company expectations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• 10+ years of engineering experience
• Proven experience managing projects and coordinating work across engineering teams
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple office locations
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple projects of varying size and complexity
• Familiarity with construction administration and project delivery processes
• Exposure to client interaction and supporting business development efforts
• Ability to support and guide junior engineers and designers
