Job summary

Branch is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing firm. You will advise on operational and management activities, ensuring direction, completion, and financial outcomes on assigned projects. You will work with project leadership and staff to manage resources, schedule, and safety.

This role requires coordinating with owners, subcontractors, and vendors; supervising two to three staff; frequent field visits (50%), and a full-time schedule of 40+ hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of industry Project Management experience on site work over $20M+.
  • Experience using P6 scheduling software, MS Office, and financial/project management software.
  • Must have PM experience running multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience managing project teams to successful outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Construction or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and mentoring the PE staff.
  • Support preconstruction activities including design-build procurement.
  • Oversee project contract management, scheduling, budget, quality, and safety.
  • Develop and maintain project financial projections and reports.
  • Ensure timely drafting and execution of subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Coordinate with owner representatives, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Job description

Position Summary

Branch is searching for an experienced, detail-oriented and organized Project Manager to join our well-established, growing company. The Project Manager advises on all operational and management activities on projects they are responsible for. This position works closely with the project leadership and staff to ensure overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of assigned projects. Oversees or participates in the allocation of resources to ensure a safe, timely, and quality project while meeting all project goals. The Project Manager is the primary contact with owner’s representative(s), subcontractors, suppliers and other company departments/personnel and pursues exemplary business relationships.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing, training, and mentoring the PE staff
  • Assist and advise on business functions including workforce management, contracting strategies, and financial management
  • Support preconstruction activities including design-build procurement
  • Assist in develops new business opportunities relative to a client or group of clients and fosters positive owner relationships
  • Authority on contract between the Owner, GC, etc. and the Company to ensure effective project administration
  • Responsible for all aspects of the project’s contract management, planning, scheduling, budget, quality, safety, and employee development
  • Responsible for profit margins and fully manages all financial aspects of assigned construction project(s)
  • Collaboratively aid in the timely drafting and execution of subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Review and approve monthly subcontractor pay requisitions
  • Responsible for schedule development and updates in conjunction with the project staff
Duties/Responsibilities Cont.
  • Responsible for preparation of monthly project financial projections and reports
  • Prepare and review payment requisitions, communicate changes, and reports project financial status monthly
  • Develop an effective plan and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent for constructing the project and helps determine the means and methods necessary to meet project goals
  • Adhere to the terms of the contract, assures quality, minimizes costs, and promotes safety
Qualifications
Required Qualifications/Education:
  • Associates degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
  • 5 or more years of industry Project Management experience (Project Engineer experience does not count) in site work including individual projects over $20M+
  • Experience using P6 scheduling software, MS Office, Financial software and/ or Project Management software
  • Must have PM experience running multiple projects at one time
  • Has managed multiple site projects
  • Proven experience managing project teams to successful outcomes
Preferred Qualifications/Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Construction or related field
  • Design-Build experience
Compensation Data

Salary Min: $91,266

Salary Max: $156,470

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.

Travel

This position requires frequent field visits, 50% field and 50% office or as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibility

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week.
