Job summary

Harper-Clayton Construction, a Ft Worth-based contractor specializing in ACM panel systems and exterior cladding, seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee design, fabrication, and installation across projects. • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the entire lifecycle of projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Collaborate with the design, fabrication, and installation teams to meet standards and schedules.
• Manage project risks and implement corrective actions.
• Provide leadership in risk evaluation, negotiations, pricing, and procurement.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, submittals, purchase orders, RFIs, change orders, and close-out documents.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure safety and quality.
• Work with AR/AP to manage monthly pay applications and invoicing.
• Communicate with clients and maintain positive relationships.
• Report progress to ownership and management in regular meetings.
• Supervise and mentor project engineers and assistant PMs.

We are a leading Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) panel system and architectural finish contractor headquartered in Ft. Worth and providing services to the surrounding regions. We have over 20 years’ experience specializing in the design, fabrication, and installation of ACM building envelope systems and have expanded into multiple other types of architectural finishes and cladding systems.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to work with our superintendents and other department leads to oversee all aspects of the design, fabrication, and installation process for ACM panel systems and other exterior cladding system projects. Your primary responsibilities will involve project planning, coordination, execution, and client management. The ideal candidate will bring ingenuity and solutions to a growing company and have the motivation to move into a Sr. Project Manager position in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the execution of the entire lifecycle of projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Collaborate with the design, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure that fabrication and installation processes meet industry standards and project specifications while hitting schedule deadlines.
• Manage project risks, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, pricing decisions, and material procurement.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including shop drawings, submittals, purchase orders, RFIs, change orders, and close-out documents.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Work with AR/AP to manage monthly pay applications to clients and vendor/supplier invoicing.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and maintain positive relationships.
• Keep ownership and senior management informed on progress of project and budget through accurate data collection and reporting and regularly scheduled operations and project management meetings.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop project engineers and assistant project managers to maximize job performance and career potential.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management.
• 4+ years previous work experience in commercial construction project management, preferably in the architectural finish/cladding industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, and Bluebeam.
• Knowledge of construction processes, specifications, and industry standards.

The expected base salary range for this position is $85,000-$115,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
