Job summary

Hall & Kay is recruiting for a Project Manager to deliver fire protection and security projects remotely from Swinton, GBR. You will lead initiatives from initiation through to handover, ensuring on-budget delivery, client satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate with Sales, Design, QS, and on-site teams, maintain documentation, and drive continuous improvement across project controls. A strong focus on cost control, risk management, and stakeholder communication is required.

Qualifications

• BS EN 12845 and LPS1048 knowledge required.
• Competence with engineering drawings and RAMs/Quality Plans.
• Prince2 project management methodologies familiarity.
• Experience managing large, budgeted projects in construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead project initiation and handover meetings with Sales, Design, QS.
• Develop and maintain project programmes.
• Communicate with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain central project file records and documentation.
• Attend end-of-project Cost To Complete (CTC) meetings.
• Prepare and submit end-of-project documents (O&M, As-Fitted drawings, certifications).
• Ensure installers are briefed, competent, and qualified.
• Raise PORs with Tier 1 suppliers.
• Manage on-site resources and resolve issues to keep programme on track.
• Participate in internal and third-party audits and address non-conformities.
• Record and resolve variations and cost tracking in RAMs/CTC.

Summary of Role

You will deliver Fire Sprinkler projects on time, to budget and in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.

What you will be doing

• Leading project Initiation/handover meetings with all stakeholders including Sales, Design, QS.
• Production and maintenance of project programme.
• Communication with clients throughout the life of a project.
• Maintenance of central project file records.
• Attendance at internal project Cost To Complete (CTC) meetings.
• Completion and submission to relevant stakeholders of all end-of-project documentation e.g. O&M, As-Fitted Drawings, Certification.
• Ensuring installers are adequately briefed, are competent & qualified to fulfill all project requirements.
• Raising PORs using authorised Tier 1 suppliers.
• Supporting and managing of on-site resources ensuring all issues are resolved and the programme maintained.
• Participating with internal & third party audits.
• Identifying, recording & ensuring the resolution of any supplier generated non-conformities.
• Consulting with subject matter experts where required.
• Management of material and labour costs.
• Identification and invoicing of variations to contract.
• Raising of final accounts.
• Undertaking & recording on-site inspections in accordance with EHS001 scheduled frequency.
• Facilitating on-site toolbox talks.
• Completion of all H&S related documentation Inc. RAMs, attendance sheets etc.

What we will need from you (all essential)

• Working knowledge of BS EN 12845 & LPS1048 Schemes.
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings.
• LPCB Testing & Commissioning Module 2 Competent.
• LPCB Site Inspection Module 1 Competent.
• Familiarity with the principles of Prince 2 project management methodologies.
• Experience in managing complex, large budget projects in the construction industry.
• Practised at management of on-site labour & resources.
• Valid SMSTS & CSCS Card Holder.
• Knowledge of CDM Management Principles.
• Extensive knowledge of production of project documentation eg. RAMs, Quality Plans, Project Plans, Cost Sheets (CTC), Trackers.
• Familiarity with all standard MS office applications
• Commercial acumen - Identifies and maximises project cost savings.
