Job description

VEQTOR, a life sciences engineering consulting company, is currently looking for an experienced Project Manager (PM) to join its team. This individual will be involved with supporting the development and roll-out of project management tools and templates, as well as communicating and establishing the PMO culture within the company and applying those PM principles to various projects in CQV, CSV, and Kneat.

VEQTOR is looking for someone who is passionate about project management and supporting others to be successful. Good communication is required to ensure the project teams are set up for success. This company is on a journey of growth and would like a leader who can mentor those with less experience. There is an opportunity to add your personal expertise and efficiencies into the VEQTOR Project Management methodology.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in managing projects in one or several areas such as commissioning & qualification, computer system validation, and Kneat implementation.

This position reports to the Director of Global Project Management and is instrumental in helping our region provide the best possible services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement project controls and manage PMO projects in the following areas:
    • CQV
    • CSV
    • Kneat Digital Validation
  • Define project scope and deliverables
  • Define tasks and required resources
  • Build and manage project teams
  • Build, forecast, and manage budget
  • Allocate project resources
  • Create a schedule and project timeline
  • Support and direct project teams
  • Monitor and report on project progress
  • Present reports to stakeholders on progress, risks and mitigations
  • Implement and manage change when necessary
  • Evaluate and assess the result of the project

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Project management qualification (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or equivalent experience
    as a project manager.
  • C&Q (Commissioning & Qualification), Automation (i.e. DeltaV, PLC, SCADA), and/or Facility Operational Readiness
    experience.
  • Experience in strategic planning and change management.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.),
    Microsoft 365 Application including Microsoft Project, SharePoint, OneNote, VISIO, and Teams.
  • High level of communication to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Problem solving and conflict management.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management.
  • Scheduling experience is desired.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with sound decision making.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to represent executives internally and externally.
