Job description

At Altumatim, we believe that in legal proceedings, whoever tells the best story wins. We've built altumatimOS, the world's first self-learning, story-driven, eDiscovery and investigation platform designed to transform how legal professionals analyze complex data. We help attorneys find the "smoking gun" in hours, not months.

We are looking for a dedicated Project Manager to join our growing team. If you are a project manager, paralegal, or legal ops professional who is looking for a dynamic and exciting opportunity and wants to be at the forefront of the AI revolution, we want to talk to you.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind the successful delivery of altumatimOS deployments for our clients (AmLaw 100 firms and Fortune 500 corporations). You will orchestrate the "paradigm shift" of using story-based AI by ensuring our clients are onboarded smoothly, timelines are met, and cross-functional teams are aligned to deliver the results our clients want.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-End Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle of eDiscovery and investigation proof of concept (POC) engagements and enterprise deployments from kickoff to completion.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the central hub between our clients and our internal engineering and data science teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.
  • Risk & Timeline Management: Proactively identify potential project bottlenecks, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain detailed, accurate project schedules.
  • Process Optimization: Build, refine, and scale our implementation playbooks and workflows to ensure a repeatable, top-tier experience for every new client.
Who You Are
  • Project Management Pro: You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple high-stakes legal projects simultaneously without letting anything slip through the cracks.
  • Legal Industry Veteran: You have a background as a Paralegal, Litigation Support Specialist, or Legal Ops Professional. You understand the challenges legal professionals face and are ready to help them transform their workflows.
  • Tech-Forward: You aren't afraid of AI; in fact, you're excited by the prospect of seeing clients achieve otherwise impossible outcomes because of it.
  • A Self-Starter: You are motivated, take ownership of your projects, and strive for excellence.
Skills & Experience — Required
  • Project Management Expertise: Proven experience managing complex, client-facing software deployments or technical projects.
  • PM Tools Proficiency: Deep familiarity with project management and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello, Monday.com, Smartsheet) to build and track project plans.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Ability to lead without authority, keeping both highly technical internal teams and non-technical client stakeholders aligned and on schedule.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of comfort leading status meetings and strategy calls with senior partners and corporate executives.
Skills & Experience — Preferred
  • eDiscovery Knowledge: Familiarity with the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and exposure to industry-standard platforms (e.g., Relativity, Everlaw, Reveal) is a huge plus, but not strictly required.
  • Agile/Scrum Experience: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies to better interface with our engineering teams.
  • Education & Certifications
  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business, Pre-Law, Communications, IT, or a related field (Preferred).
  • Industry Certifications: A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is highly desired. A Paralegal Certificate or Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) credential is also a strong plus.
  • Technical Acumen: While a technical degree isn't required, a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning in legal technology, data analysis, or AI is highly valued.
Why Altumatim?
  • Dynamic Environment: We are a fast-paced startup where your contributions have a direct impact on the product and the company's trajectory.
  • Great Culture: Our employees are more than just coworkers; they are happy, collaborative team players who support one another.
  • Innovation-First: We don't build for demos; we build for the "lawyers in the trenches." You'll be working with cutting-edge technology that is actively transforming the practice of law.
  • Mission-Driven: Join a team dedicated to Results. We are building AI that surfaces the most important facts; those that move the needle on any matter.
