Arch Systems is hiring a Project Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team supporting Federal Government enterprise architecture, software governance and IT demand management. You will oversee delivery across AI/ML engineering, software engineering, data management and business architecture, managing the roadmap, backlog, weekly cadence, staff supervision, deliverables and Government reporting. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), coordinating with the Federal Government Program Manager to keep technology decisions and project delivery moving efficiently.
What You Will Do
Delivery (main focus)
- Draft the program roadmap for the federal EA lead to approve, and keep it current.
- Run the backlog and the weekly cadence. Make sure every ask has an owner and a date.
- Task people across role families as priorities shift between workstreams.
- Organize, direct and coordinate the planning and execution of all contract activities.
- Supervise contractor staff and review their work, including subcontractor work.
- Manage EA milestones and contract deliverables against schedule and performance standards, including revision cycles.
- Coordinate domain architecture activities across business, data, applications, technology and security.
- Develop a high-level landscape that describes each layer of the architecture.
- Provide architectural guidance and direction on security and privacy.
Government interface and reporting
- Facilitate and coordinate information-gathering sessions with Federal Government business units and Program Managers.
- Prepare status for the COR. Lead weekly progress reviews with the COR and Federal Government Program Manager, in person or by teleconference.
- Produce weekly and monthly status reports. Each report includes a narrative of work done and planned, a management summary, issues and recommended corrections.
- Prepare and deliver briefings, executive materials and written recommendations on request.
- Lead the team through transition-in planning and knowledge transfer.
Accessibility and requestor guidance (backup focus)
- Hold Section 508 accessibility conformance for every report, dashboard and AI persona the team delivers.
- Work with the Business Architects to produce requestor guidance on presenting a request to technical approval board and on running demonstrations.
- Produce training material for analysts.
The Lead AI/ML Engineer sets technical direction. The Federal Government accepts work. You manage delivery and keep both sides informed.
