Job summary

Storm4 is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to support the delivery of a flagship hyperscale data center power program. You will be the owner's representative in the field, providing daily oversight from construction through energization, ensuring leadership has visibility on progress, risks, and milestones.

Responsibilities include monitoring substations, microgrids, and battery storage integration, coordinating interfaces, and tracking commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in field engineering, commissioning, construction, or electrical infrastructure.
• Hands-on commissioning and energization experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and commissioning procedures.
• Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills.

A rapidly growing power infrastructure business, backed by one of North America's largest engineering and construction organizations, is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to support the delivery of a flagship hyperscale data center power program.

This is an opportunity to work on some of the most complex electrical infrastructure being deployed today, spanning substations, microgrids, battery storage, commissioning, and energization. The project is highly visible, well-funded, and critical to a major hyperscale development.

You will be the owner's representative in the field, providing daily oversight throughout construction, commissioning, and energization activities. This role sits at the centre of project execution, ensuring leadership has accurate visibility of progress, risks, and critical milestones.

• Monitor construction, commissioning, and energization activities across major power infrastructure systems
• Coordinate interfaces between contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
• Identify schedule, quality, and commissioning risks before they impact delivery
• Track testing, startup, and commissioning readiness activities
• Maintain field reports, punch lists, and project documentation

• 10+ years of field engineering, commissioning, construction, or electrical infrastructure experience

• Comfortable working in a highly visible site-based role

Preferred:

• Substation, BESS, microgrid, or utility infrastructure experience
• Data center commissioning experience (L1-L5)
• Owner's representative or PMO-side experience
• Engineering degree or relevant industry certifications
