Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects.
• Experience in earthwork, utilities, concrete, or site development preferred.
• Strong scheduling, cost control, and contract administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Superintendent to develop, maintain, and execute weekly and long-range project schedules.
• Ensure projects are properly staffed and supplied with labor, equipment, materials, and resources to meet milestones.
• Regularly visit project sites to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and compliance with project specs.
• Collaborate with field leadership to identify and resolve safety, quality, and scheduling issues.
• Manage project budgets, cost, forecasts, and financial performance to ensure profitability.
• Prepare and submit supporting documentation and maintain accurate project financial records.

Position Summary

The Project Manager plays a vital leadership role in successful planning, execution, and delivery of civil construction projects. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of project performance, including safety, quality, schedule, cost control, resource coordination, and client satisfaction. Working closely with field leadership, subcontractors, owners, and internal teams, the Project Manager ensures projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitable while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Superintendent to develop, maintain, and execute weekly and long-range project schedules.
• Ensure projects are properly staffed and supplied with the labor, equipment, materials, and resources necessary to meet production goals and project milestones.
• Regularly visit project sites to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and compliance with project specifications and company standards.
• Collaborate with field leadership to proactively identify and resolve operational, safety, quality, and scheduling issues.
• Manage project budgets, cost, forecasts, and financial performance to ensure profitability and successful project outcomes.
• Review, approve, and process project invoices, subcontractor pay applications, and vendor payments.
• Prepare and submit supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate project financial records and provide timely reporting on project status, costs, forecasting, and profitability.
• Track project production quantities, equipment utilization, and productively metrics to ensure efficient operations and project health.
• Coordinate with he estimating team during bid preparation, project turnover, value engineering efforts and change order development.
• Manage and negotiate change orders, contract modifications, and project correspondence.
• Build and maintain strong relationship with owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings and communicate project goals, expectations, and progress to all team members.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, regulatory standards, and company policies.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
• This role requires time in the field; work hours may vary based on project needs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects, with experience in earthwork, utilities, concrete, or site development projects preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple project priorities while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, project scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.
• Knowledge of project management software, scheduling tools, and construction financial reporting systems.
