Job summary

MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) in Wisconsin seeks a Program Manager to lead assigned programs from award to launch and provide ongoing support. You will ensure requirements from clients and internal stakeholders are met for quality, capacity, timing, and product characteristics, and develop a plan with tasks, owners, budget, timing, and milestones.

The role requires 2+ years in project management, familiarity with MS Project, and knowledge of metal fabrication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of project management experience.
• Familiarity with MS Project.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques (weldments, laser cutting, press brake).
• Experience implementing and optimizing business processes.
• Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification is highly desired.
• Proficient with MRP systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates issues and communicates roadblocks to customers.
• Initiates and approves Major Expenditure Authorizations (MEAs) for program equipment.
• Ensures compliance with IATF16949, MEC APQP and gate approvals.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

• Has thorough understanding, documentation, and attainment of both external clients and internal stakeholders' requirements for quality, capacity, timing, and product characteristics.
• Develops from the requirements a clear path with task breakdown, assigned owners, budget, timing, and major milestones.
• Assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, and market demand.
• Manages proactive customer communications (meetings, reports, etc.) building working relationships with open and honest communication.
• Anticipates any issues and roadblocks to communicate to internal and external customers.
• Initiate and obtain approval of Major Expenditure Authorizations (MEAs) for program related equipment and tooling.
