Coalesce Management Consulting seeks a Transmission Planning Engineer to perform planning studies assessing reliability, performance, and future grid needs. You will conduct power flow, stability, contingency, short-circuit, and transfer capability analyses to guide expansion plans for load growth, renewables, and system reliability.

Perform transmission system planning studies to evaluate the reliability, performance, and
future needs of the electric grid.
Conduct power flow, contingency, stability, short circuit, and transfer capability studies.
Analyze system performance under normal and contingency operating conditions.
Develop transmission expansion plans to support load growth, renewable integration, and
system reliability.
Evaluate new transmission lines, substations, transformers, and reactive power devices.
Perform generator interconnection and load interconnection studies in accordance with
ISO/RTO and utility requirements.
Assess system impacts related to renewable energy projects, battery energy storage
systems (BESS), and large industrial loads.
Collaborate with System Operations, Protection & Controls, Substation Engineering,
Distribution Planning, and Generation Planning teams.
Prepare technical reports and planning recommendations for utility leadership and
regulatory agencies.
Ensure planning studies comply with NERC, FERC, regional reliability organizations
(ERCOT, PJM, MISO, CAISO, SPP, ISO-NE, NYISO), and utility planning criteria.
Support long-range transmission planning, capital planning, and grid modernization
initiative
