Job summary

Job description

Job Purpose and Description

The Project Manager is responsible for successful planning, managing, executing and reporting of multiple on‑going projects. The Project Manager manages all phases of casework order construction, with responsibility for scheduling, submittals, RFI’s, pay applications, preparation and management of change orders, progress meetings, financial reporting, through to the completion of punch lists and project close‑out duties. The Project Manager is the primary company representative responsible and accountable for the successful completion of assigned projects, including safety, project costs, scheduling, relationships, market reputation and profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key point of contact for casework customers throughout the project, providing timely updates and expert guidance.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships by understanding needs and resolving issues.
  • Promote positive and professional interactions with clients, dealers, architects, and contractors to strengthen long‑term partnerships.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, establishing key milestones, shipping deadlines, and deliverables in alignment with client expectations.
  • Track project timelines, adjusting schedules proactively to mitigate delays or disruptions.
  • Oversee all phases of casework order execution, including pre‑construction coordination, production, delivery, installation, and closeout.
  • Ensure accountability at each phase of the project by managing resources, tasks, and timelines effectively.
  • Coordinate across departments (engineering, production, logistics, installation) to align deliverables and priorities.
  • Ensure accurate and up‑to‑date project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, customer service orders, and internal reports.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues clearly and regularly to customers, internal teams, and senior management.
  • Research and interpret project files to validate customer service order requests or changes.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure project specifications, drawings, and technical requirements are fully understood and met.
  • Work closely with production to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Prepare and submit pay applications, manage budgets, and contribute to financial forecasting and job costing.
  • Support the creation and processing of change orders, ensuring proper documentation and client approval.
  • Generate and track customer service orders, ensuring timely response and resolution.
  • Conduct regular and ad‑hoc follow‑up with dealers, clients, and project stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and alignment.
  • Oversee completion of punch lists and support project close‑out processes, including post‑installation evaluations if needed.
  • Coordinate efforts with purchasing, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Participate in internal process reviews and contribute suggestions for workflow improvements and best practices.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Senior Project Manager and Casework Manager, supporting department and company goals.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience and/or Training: 1 year’s experience with Project Management in a manufacturing environment.

Technology/Equipment: Proficiency working in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.

Experience and/or Training:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in project management within the millwork, casework, or architectural woodworking industry.
  • Proven experience managing multiple construction or casework projects simultaneously from start to finish.
  • Experience using project management and construction‑related software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, AutoCAD, ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines.

Licenses/Certificates: Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).

Technology/Equipment: Proficiency working in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical and Mental Demands

Sitting for long periods of time, 6‑8 hours per day. Walking, speaking, hearing, and seeing. Listen and observe the environment for hazard prevention. Use hands for tools and typing. Semi‑frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Some tasks may require employee to bend, stoop, twist, and turn.

Working Environment

Indoor office working environment. Office is temperature‑controlled all year round. Minimal hazards identified.
