Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager

Job location: Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: 6+ Months Contract Extendable

Job Duties:

• Technical Project Manager to implement Questica Budget System (procured by the City)
• Coordinate City staff resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of the project
• Develop project scope and objective, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure all deliverables are on time, within scope and within budget
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Establish clear and concise communication plan
• Report status and elevate issues to City/Consultant management as needed
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Required Skills/Experience:

• Experience implementing Questica – Budget System, preferably for another government agency
• Strong understanding of municipal budgeting concepts
• Ability to develop a detailed project plan to track progress
• Knowledge of appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Ability to measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
• Ability to effectively perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Ability to maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Four‑year degree preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering
• Proven working experience as a project manager implementing technology projects

Additional Skills/Experience:

• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands‑on experience in Budget System implementations
• Excellent client‑facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi‑tasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
• PMP certification
• Experience with a public‑sector agency
