Advantage Excavating LLC is hiring a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager to oversee and coordinate our commercial excavation projects across Utah. This role requires a solid background in utility installation (water, sewer, storm drain), site grading, and commercial construction project management. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee commercial excavation projects from pre-construction through completion.
  • Crew Oversight: Lead and supervise field crews, ensuring that work is executed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
  • Utility Installation Management: Direct the installation of water, sewer, and storm drain systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and design standards.
  • Change Order Oversight: Monitor and manage change orders, documenting adjustments and ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Develop project schedules, coordinate resources, and maintain communication with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong professional relationships and providing consistent project updates.
  • Documentation: Track project progress, maintain records, and manage project budgets, daily reports, and closeout documentation.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot issues as they arise in the field to maintain project momentum and meet deadlines.
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Experience: 2–5 years in a commercial construction supervisory role with hands-on knowledge of utility installation.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and manage field operations on complex projects.
  • Utility Expertise: Strong understanding of commercial water, sewer, and storm drain systems, including excavation requirements.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and coordination skills with both field teams and clients.
  • Adaptability: Ability to handle project changes, site challenges, and evolving client needs efficiently.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using digital project management tools and reporting systems.
  • Certifications: OSHA certification preferred; valid driver's license required.
  • Physical Capability: Able to visit active job sites and conduct on-site assessments as needed.
