Job summary

Pacific Rim Mechanical is seeking a full-time Project Manager to oversee mechanical and plumbing projects in Southern California's life science and tech sectors. You will handle cost and schedule control, ensuring every project is delivered on time and on budget.

You will lead the project team, coordinate with trades, and build strong relationships with customers on a project-by-project basis. Design/build and BIM/VDC tools are a plus; engineering degree or trade experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years PM experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• Experience with design/build delivery a plus.
• Experience managing mechanical, plumbing, process or BMS/BAS controls scope preferred but not required.
• Experience building laboratories or cleanrooms also preferred but not required.
• Engineering/Construction Management degree or trade experience preferred.

Job description

This position is full-time, managing mechanical & plumbing projects in the rapidly expanding life science & tech sector.

Perform all administrative functions with regards to cost/schedule control, delivering every assigned project on time and on budget.

Typical Duties:

• Serve as a leader for the project team, supporting our trades with all the information they need to install their scope one time, correctly.
• Build and maintain relationship with customers on a project-by-project basis.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager in commercial/industrial construction
• Experience with design/build delivery a plus
• Experience managing mechanical, plumbing, process or BMS/BAS controls scope preferred but not required
• Experience building laboratories or cleanrooms also preferred but not required.
• Engineering, Construction Management degree or trade experience preferred
• Proficient with BlueBeam and MS Suite of programs
• Familiarity with BIM platforms, coordination execution and VDC management a plus
• Self- Directed/motivated
• Organized
• Be coachable, and can coach PEs and APMs

Salary Range:

$110k-140k annually based on experience (FSLA Exempt)
