Capio Group is looking for an experienced Project Manager!

Full-time employee - Remote
Salary: $120,000 - $135,000

Scope of Work:

We are seeking a qualified Project Manager to support the Client Solution project by planning and executing activities aligned with the California Department of Technology (CDT) Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) stages 2 to 4. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Analyzing current business processes and systems, developing business and technical environment context, including high-level data analysis.
  2. Developing gap analysis and data analysis for the future system.
  3. Creating data conversion and migration plans, assisting with risk register development, and conducting technical complexity assessments and governance planning.
  4. Developing project roadmaps and schedules up to Stage 2.
  5. Gathering mid-level requirements, including functional, non-functional, interface, and transition requirements.
  6. Creating a requirements traceability matrix (RTM), including assumptions, constraints, and dependencies.
  7. Analyzing existing data for cleanup and migration planning.
  8. Updating and responding to stakeholder comments on Stage 2 Alternatives Analysis documents.
  9. Preparing and submitting Stage 2 Alternatives Analysis and related artifacts such as procurement assessments, risk assessments, and organizational charts.
Mandatory Experience:
  1. At least five (5) years of extensive project management experience within the last ten (10) years, applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools.
  2. Minimum of three (3) years in a lead capacity within the last ten (10) years.
  3. Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience may be considered.
  4. Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI is mandatory.
  5. At least one (1) year supporting the California Project Approval Lifecycle stages 2-4 on a complex IT project (defined as involving over 100 internal users, 50,000 external users, or costing over $3 million).
  6. References for relevant projects must be available upon request.
Desirable Experience:
  1. Over five (5) years of project management experience with government or nonprofit organizations.
  2. At least three (3) years in a leadership role facilitating discovery, stakeholder engagement, and software solution comparisons within government or control agencies.
  3. Experience supporting full cycle of California PAL stages 2-4.
