Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Construction/Industrial Eng or equivalent experience accepted.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager on commercial glazing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Familiar with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
• Ability to multitask, be self-motivated and eager to learn construction tasks.

Responsibilities

• Bid process: Review architectural drawings, takeoffs, obtain quotes for materials, and prepare proposals for new contracts.
• Contract compliance: Review contracts scope and specifications and prepare all submittal information and track their approval.
• Design phase: Review fabrication drawings, confirm compliance with Architectural drawings, prepare RFIs and incorporate changes.
• Procurement: Prepare request for proposals, review their cost and issue Purchase Orders and Subcontract Agreements.
• Construction: Prepare and manage construction schedules, daily reports, site pictures, attend construction meetings, field measure substrates and assist superintendents with quality control and punch lists and warranties.
• Project Financials: Prepare and submit monthly requisitions, change orders, and cost/labor tracking reports
• Help train and develop the office and field working team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience accepted.

• 5 years minimum experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager on commercial glazing preferred
• Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam. Experience in AutoCAD preferred.
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
• Multi-tasking, self-motivated and interested in learning construction industry tasks
