Job summary

GAP Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead space planning, workplace, FF&E, security, infrastructure, and facility-modification projects across office and laboratory environments in Rockville, MD.

You will plan and manage facility-related projects, develop schedules and budgets, and coordinate diverse stakeholders while ensuring government-compliant deliverables and continuity of operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an accepted combination of education and experience consistent with the contractual labor category.
• Minimum 11-13 years of related experience supporting a variety of projects, appropriate to the assigned PM level.
• Experience with facility infrastructure and building systems and with laboratory, clinical, animal research, data center, administrative, or comparable environments.
• Demonstrated project scheduling, risk management, stakeholder coordination, customer-service, written communication, and executive-presentation skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required Government credentials and facility access.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project status, resources, risks, issues, scope, schedule, cost, quality, and performance; recommend mitigation actions.
• Provide technical support for lab, clinical, animal research, data center, and other mission-critical environments while maintaining operational continuity.
• Prepare status reports, risk registers, change records, analyses, executive briefings, and closeout reports.

Position Objective: The Project Manager will lead space planning, workplace, FF&E, security, infrastructure, and facility-modification projects across office and laboratory environments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage facility-related projects, including infrastructure, renovations, relocations, occupancy, workplace modernization, and closeout.
• Develop and maintain schedules, milestones, dependencies, action logs, budgets, estimates, and project documentation.
• Coordinate scientific, administrative, facilities, architecture/engineering, IT, vendor, and other stakeholders; facilitate and document meetings.
• Monitor project status, resources, risks, issues, scope, schedule, cost, quality, and performance; recommend mitigation and corrective action.
• Provide technical support for laboratory, clinical, animal research, data center, office, and other mission-critical environments while maintaining operational continuity.
• Prepare status reports, risk registers, change records, technical analyses, executive briefings, presentations, data-call responses, and closeout reports.
• Support CAD drawings, space planning studies, relocation plans, customer engagement, and decision-support products as assigned.
• Ensure deliverables are accurate, timely, professional, current, and compliant with Government requirements and applicable federal facility practices.
• Develop Programs of Requirements, test fits, CAD drawings, Scopes of Work, estimates, RFP packages, furniture packages, and vendor evaluations.
• Coordinate FF&E, data infrastructure, security, AV, relocation, and building-system upgrades; identify reuse and cost-avoidance opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an accepted combination of directly relevant education and experience consistent with the contractual labor category.
• Minimum 11-13 years of related experience supporting a variety of projects, appropriate to the assigned PM level.
• Experience with facility infrastructure and building systems and with laboratory, clinical, animal research, data center, administrative, or comparable environments.
• Demonstrated project scheduling, risk management, stakeholder coordination, customer-service, written communication, and executive-presentation skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required Government credentials and facility access.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA and bachelor-level education in interior design.
• 12 or more years of workplace, FF&E, space planning, interior design, or facility-project experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety credential, LEED experience, or PMP coursework.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and facility/space-management systems.
