Job summary

ScottCoatings is seeking a Project Manager to plan, execute, and close projects within scope, schedule, and budget, while maintaining client relationships and coordinating internal resources.

You will own project plans, monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure safety, quality, and contractual compliance, with strong collaboration from the Superintendent and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years of project management experience in construction or a related industry.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and multi-project management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with a track record of resolving client concerns professionally.
• Proficiency in project management software, Bluebeam and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with AIA billing and construction contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets from award through closeout.
• Coordinate project startup with the General Superintendent, Foreman, and client.
• Monitor project progress and proactively manage risk, adjusting plans as needed to meet objectives.
• Own the project budget from award through closeout, tracking costs against estimates and approving field purchases and subcontractor invoices within authorization limits.
• Identify scope and pricing changes promptly, document them in writing, and prepare, submit, and negotiate change orders to protect ScottCoatings' contract position.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams; attend project meetings, OAC meetings, and site walks; prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements, partnering with the Superintendent on field execution and quality oversight.
• Confirm subcontractors meet all insurance, safety, and compliance requirements.
• Manage project closeout: punch lists, closeout documentation, warranties, O&M submittals, final billing, lien waivers, and post-project financial review.
