The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and administrative management of construction projects for Skanska USA Building Inc. This role provides day-to-day leadership throughout the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction and procurement through construction, commissioning, and closeout, with direct responsibility for helping ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.

The Project Manager serves as a central leader in project delivery and works closely with superintendents, project engineers, preconstruction professionals, clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and other internal and external stakeholders to align project goals, maintain communication, and drive execution. This individual is responsible for managing project budgets, forecasts, schedules, contracts, change management processes, procurement activities, and project reporting, while proactively identifying and addressing issues that may affect cost, schedule, quality, safety, or client satisfaction. The role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

A successful Project Manager brings a solid understanding of construction operations, contract administration, financial controls, and team coordination, along with the leadership skills needed to guide project teams through challenges and maintain strong working relationships. This role is expected to support Skanska's culture of safety, collaboration, inclusion, ethics, and continuous improvement by promoting accountability, operational excellence, and proactive problem-solving across all phases of project delivery. In addition, the Project Manager plays an important role in developing team members, strengthening client confidence, and contributing to the overall success, reputation, and long-term growth of Skanska USA Building Inc.

Project Manager Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years proven track record of assuring client satisfaction.
  • 3+ years track record of delivering on-time projects.
  • 3+ years of experience maintaining or exceeding planned profit targets for projects.
  • 3+ years creating and maintaining a culture of safety.
  • 3+ years experience developing a culture of quality assurance and control.
  • 3+ years experience managing subcontractor relationships.
  • Bachelor’s Degree - Construction Management or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 7 years prior relevant experience.
