Job summary

Embark Recruiting Solutions seeks an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will plan, budget, schedule, and manage all aspects to deliver on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

You will serve as the primary contact for owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams, fostering strong relationships to ensure successful project delivery across multiple sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a General Contractor.
  • Experience managing projects ranging from $5 million to $50+ million.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and project controls.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and construction regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects through all phases, including preconstruction, estimating support, procurement, construction, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and administer subcontractor agreements and purchase orders.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings and coordinate all project activities with field supervision, subcontractors, and design professionals.
  • Monitor project costs, approve invoices, track commitments, and manage job cost reporting.
  • Identify project risks and proactively implement solutions to maintain schedule and budget.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents to ensure scope accuracy and constructability.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate permitting, inspections, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor project progress, quality, and safety performance.
  • Work closely with Superintendents to ensure efficient project execution and scheduling.
  • Lead owner meetings and provide regular project updates regarding schedule, budget, and progress.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and local building codes.
  • Oversee project closeout activities including punch lists, warranty documentation, owner training, and final turnover.
