Job summary

Diamond Peak Recruiting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial tenant improvement (TI) projects across the Phoenix metropolitan area. The role demands a proven track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.

You will oversee from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating closely with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams, while managing budgets, schedules, risks, and change orders.

Qualifications

3+ years of project management experience in commercial construction.
3+ years managing commercial TI projects.
Experience with projects ranging from approximately $250K to $10M.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar construction management software.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple commercial TI projects simultaneously, from contract award through project completion.
Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and forecasting.
Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, landlords, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
Lead preconstruction planning, subcontractor buyout, and contract administration.
Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify scope gaps and potential risks.
Monitor project progress and proactively resolve scheduling, quality, and budget issues.
Conduct regular project meetings with clients, field staff, and subcontractors.
Oversee change order management, requests for information (RFIs), submittals, and project documentation.
Collaborate closely with Superintendents to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality field operations.
Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, local building codes, and company policies.
Prepare monthly cost reports, project forecasts, and executive updates.
Manage project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, as-built documentation, and final turnover.

Strong understanding of commercial interiors, office, retail, healthcare, industrial office, or corporate renovation projects.
Experience managing projects ranging from approximately $250K to $10M.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar construction management software.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites throughout the Phoenix area.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
OSHA 30 certification.
Experience with Design-Build and negotiated commercial projects.
Knowledge of Arizona building codes and permitting processes.
