Job summary

Med-Metrix is seeking a Project Manager in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ to drive successful technology engagements and deliverables for clients. You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure timely, high-quality project outcomes while maintaining strict PHI handling per HIPAA rules.

The role requires 3+ years in project management, client-facing experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Job Purpose

The Project Manager works to provide the best in-class service to our customers and directly with our clients to implement technology engagements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Proactively set and manage expectations with internal and external stakeholders regarding project scope, deliverables, timelines, status reporting, and issues & risks
• Provide weekly status reporting to customers, management team, and internal staff
• Manage multiple projects across different departments within the organization, assuring that all team members have the required information and resources to complete tasks effectively, these projects can include management of the implementation process for the following teams/ tasks
• IT: FHIR connectivity, HL7
• Application Configuration: Design, build, testing, training
• Development: Application development for client onboarding
• Coordination of outbound file requests to client and between multiple internal systems
• Proactively communicate and manage expectations of both internal and external stakeholders by facilitating weekly calls, recording detailed meeting minutes, identifying next steps in the process, and diligently following up on all open activities until project completion
• Lead customer-facing meetings of varying sizes and profiles, ranging from operational management to C-suite
• Ensure project deliverables are met timely, to the satisfaction of our customers, and meet the high-quality standards that have been set by Med-Metrix
• Lead teams in high priority risk situations by coordinating and instilling a sense of urgency where applicable across multiple internal and client cross functional teams
• Act as point of escalation for critical implementation-related risks and facilitate their timely resolution
• Take initiative in outlining project dependencies and sequencing tasks to ensure smooth delivery
• Support revenue targets by accurately forecasting project go-live dates, meeting forecasted completion dates, and escalating as needed to ensure projects remain on track
• Other duties as assigned
• Use, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
• Understand and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures at all times
• Limit viewing of PHI to the absolute minimum as necessary to perform assigned duties

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required
• 3+ years of Project Management experience required
• Jira, Smartsheet, PMP, agile certification (e.g., CSM) is a plus
• 2+ years of client-facing experience required
• Knowledge of fundamental project management principles
• Identify & assess issues to make recommendations and drive resolution
• Energetic with strong desire to learn
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Working Conditions

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and outside of normal business hours when needed
• Occasional Travel may be required
