Job summary

Connect Tech+Talent seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead medium to large-scale initiatives through full lifecycle delivery in a federal agency context. You will plan, monitor, and report on scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholder communications, coordinating vendor engagement and cross-functional teams.

The role requires proficiency in Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies, strong MS Project skills, and solid knowledge of PMI PMBOK standards, with emphasis on clear written

Responsibilities

• Manage medium to extra-large complexity projects through full project life cycle activities, planning, communication, and team development.

• Develop and manage project status reports for stakeholders and PMO dashboard.
• Implement change management practices in accordance with guidance.

• Facilitate and manage contract processes from initiation to closure.
• Routinely perform gap analysis, root cause analysis, and offer recommendations.

Job description

• Manage medium to extra-large complexity projects through full project life cycle activities utilizing appropriate methodologies and tools, planning and communication, and acquire, develop, and manage the project team.
• Perform all standard project management deliverables including scope and objectives, change management, risk mitigation, budgeting, stakeholder communication, project and vendor engagement, subject matter expert utilization, implementation, and project closure.
• Develop and manage project status reports for communicating with project stakeholders and reporting key metrics for the PMO dashboard.
• Implement change management practices in accordance with agency and PMO guidance.
• Forecast, manage, and acquire (as necessary) resources needed to achieve project objectives.
• Ensure project activities and deliverables adhere to federal, state, or agency documented guidelines.
• Facilitate and manage contract processes from initiation to closure.
• Routinely perform gap analysis, root cause analysis, and offer recommendations for successful project outcomes.
• Demonstrate dynamic ability to lead group facilitation activities for the agency especially in areas requiring interaction of an independent party.

Experience with Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid project management methodologies.

• Strong familiarity with and/or the ability to use MS Project.
• Understanding and experience with the Project Management Institutes (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide and Standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and multi-tasking capabilities.
