Job summary

8ration is seeking a hands-on leader to oversee the complete app development lifecycle from discovery through deployment on iOS and Android stores. You will run Scrum ceremonies, drive backlog prioritization with Product Owners, and translate client needs into actionable work items for the dev team.

Ideal candidates will bridge technical and business perspectives, coordinate UAT and QA, and ensure features meet user expectations while maintaining MVP scope.

Job description

SDLC Oversight: Lead the full app development lifecycle from discovery and wireframing to deployment on the App Store/Google Play.

Sprint Management: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to keep the development velocity high.

Feature Prioritization: Work closely with Product Owners to manage the backlog, ensuring the team builds high-impact features first.

Technical Liaison: Translate complex client requirements into clear, actionable user stories and technical tickets for the dev team.

UAT & QA Coordination: Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with QA testers to squash bugs before any public release.

The ideal candidate will have:

Tech-Savvy Foundation: A solid understanding of how apps are built (frontend vs. backend, APIs, and cloud infrastructure like AWS or Firebase).

Agile DNA: Deep experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and managing boards in Jira or Linear .

Release Knowledge: Familiarity with the submission processes for Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console.

Conflict Resolution: The ability to negotiate "feature creep" and keep the project within the original MVP (Minimum Viable Product) scope.

User-Centric Mindset: A basic understanding of UX/UI principles to ensure the end product is actually intuitive for users.

It will be a plus if you have:

Technical Roots: Background as a former developer or QA engineer.

Tool Mastery: Experience with design hand-off tools like Figma or Zeplin .

Security & Compliance: Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC2.

Automation Experience: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows.
