Job summary

The Bloc in New York, NY is seeking a Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex programs spanning broadcast, print, and digital formats.

You will work with accounts, finance, and external partners to define scope, manage timelines, and monitor budgets, applying standard PM practices and ensuring quality. 2+ years as a project coordinator is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 2+ years of Project Coordinator experience preferred.
  • Experience managing complex broadcast, print & digital programs.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools (MS Project/Workfront/ProofHQ).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, evaluate, and manage assigned projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Ensure project brief is complete and provides the team with all relevant information prior to kick-off.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with Account partners.
  • Assess risks and provide mitigation recommendations.
  • Implement and manage project changes as needed.
  • Escalate effectively when needed; collaborate with internal teams and 3rd party stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate understanding of digital, print, video, and strategic processes.
  • Align internal resources with client submissions and financial processes.
  • Support weekly financial reviews and monthly forecasting.
  • Adhere to established project management methodologies.

Role:

At The Bloc, a Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to plan, manage, and deliver projects that span across their assigned client/brands. The Project Manager will work on projects independently, with supervision from the Senior PM for programs deemed high complexity. The PM will work closely with cross-functional team members and 3rd party stakeholders to understand client needs and translate the information into actionable tasks/instructions for the agency. This role will support the effort to use project management techniques that deliver better results and enforce compliance with project management best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, evaluate, and manage assigned projects from project initiation through delivery
  • Ensure the project brief provided by account is complete and provides the team with all relevant information prior to kick-off
  • Work with Account partner to help define project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Constantly evaluate project risks and provide recommendations for mitigation and opportunities
  • Implement and manage change when necessary
  • Demonstrate strong conflict resolution skills with a calm, measured approach that instills confidence across internal teams
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of digital, print, video, and strategic processes
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the needs of all internal resources/teams and client submission/financial processes
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for Project Coordinators and internal teams on assigned projects
  • Follow and support the project management methodology process to ensure complete, cost-effective, and timely implementationSupport and drive adherence to internal processes (routing, communication, etc.)
  • Partner with Account and Finance to perform weekly financial reviews and reconciliations, and ensure compliance with the same practices for his/her project team members
  • Partner with Account on monthly forecasting
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience managing complex broadcast, print & digital programs (visual aids, print ads, tablet presentations, emails, websites, commercials)
  • Experience providing project scope input, resource planning, tracking out-of-pocket costs, project actualization planning, scoping, change control, resource alignment, and QA/QC protocols
  • Proficient in MS Office, including MS Project and/or an online project management workflow tool, Workfront and ProofHQ preferred
  • Experience working on SOWs, timelines, and estimates
  • 2+ years of Project Coordinator experience preferred.
