Job summary

Jobot in Nashville seeks a Project Manager (Healthcare) to lead projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and vendors to ensure design intent, quality, and budget adherence.

The role requires 3+ years in construction project management, strong leadership, and proficiency with MS Office and PM software. Occasional travel is required; travel and expenses are covered by the company.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a construction project manager.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and architects to define project specs.
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors for profitability.
• Obtain permits and licenses from authorities.
• Determine resources from start to finish within budget.
• Plan construction operations and schedule phases to meet deadlines.
• Acquire equipment and monitor stocks to prevent shortages.
• Hire contractors and staff and assign responsibilities.
• Supervise labor and provide guidance as needed.
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and report issues.
• Travel 4 nights a month to project sites; travel and expenses covered by company.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Responsibilities

1. Collaborating with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
2. Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
3. Obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
4. Determining needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
5. Planning all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
6. Acquiring equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
7. Hiring contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities.
8. Supervising the work of laborers, mechanics, etc. and give them guidance when needed.
9. Evaluating progress and prepare detailed reports.
10. Ensuring adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
11. Travel 4 nights a month to project sites for meetings (Travel and expenses covered by company)

Qualifications

1. Proven experience as a construction project manager with at least 3+ years in a similar role.
2. In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
3. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
4. Good knowledge of MS Office and construction/project management software.
5. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
6. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
7. A team player with leadership abilities.
8. BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or relevant field.
9. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an advantage.
10. Experience in risk management, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and team leadership.
