Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager in Mt. Laurel, NJ to handle the business side of low voltage projects. This office-based role involves scheduling, purchasing, billing, permitting, and documentation for multi-site deployments.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience coordinating low voltage projects such as structured cabling, access control, CCTV, AV, and Wi‑Fi, preferably in new construction. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years' experience managing or coordinating low voltage projects.
  • Familiarity with low voltage project documents: bid specifications, engineered drawings, construction take-offs, submittals, and closeout packages.
  • Knowledge of logistics and procurement, including purchase orders and vendor coordination.
  • Experience with project scheduling and billing in a contracting environment.
  • Previous experience in data entry.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Excellent customer relationship and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work in a strong cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operational tasks for multiple low voltage projects.
  • Provide logistical project support.
  • Create and maintain project files.
  • Manage project scheduling and billing.
  • Assist the team with data collection.
  • Coordinate and manage purchase orders and invoices.
  • Organize, update, and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Participate in process improvement activities to improve efficiency.
  • Manage sourcing, evaluating, and estimating selected bid opportunities.
  • Maintain high standard of quality and professionalism.
  • Delegate through team resources.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Adhere to all required project safety requirements per the Company and OSHA.

Wachter is accepting applications for Project Manager positions in the Wachter Technology Solutions Project Management department at our Mt. Laurel, NJ office. This is an office-based role focused on the business side of low voltage projects: scheduling, purchasing, billing, permitting, and documentation.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience managing or coordinating low voltage technology projects such as structured cabling, access control, CCTV, audio video, and Wi-Fi deployments, ideally in new construction across single and multi-site operations.

Is This Role a Fit?

This role is a fit if you have worked on the contractor side of low voltage projects and know how a job moves from bid to closeout: submittals, purchase orders, permits, inspections, and billing. Understanding of project lifecycle of a traditional LV project is a plus!

This role is NOT a fit

If your experience is mainly in IT infrastructure or network administration (routing, switching, servers, or help desk), or in project management outside the low voltage and construction industry. Those are valuable skills, but they are not what this position needs.

Requirements
