Job summary

Generator Systems LLC in Ohio seeks an experienced Project Manager to own the planning, coordination and execution of standby power projects from sale closure through commissioning.

You will be the central point of contact for customers, field technicians, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to high quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical construction or generator/standby power systems with related roles.
• Customer-first mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and specifications.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP/project management platform.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); scheduling tools a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of generator and transfer switch projects, from sale handoff through installation, startup, and closeout
• Build and maintain project schedules within NetSuite, budgets, and scopes of work, proactively spotting and resolving risks or delays
• Coordinate with service department, subcontractors and vendors to keep field work properly staffed and sequenced
• Serve as the go-to contact for customers, providing regular updates and ensuring a great experience start to finish
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and permit requirements to confirm scope and compliance
• Manage change orders, invoicing milestones, and closeout documentation
• Support the sales team with technical input, scoping, and proposal development as needed

About the Role

We'rehiring an experienced Project Manager to own the planning, coordination, and execution of standby power projects from the moment a sale closes through final commissioning.You'llbe thecentral pointof contact for customers, field technicians, vendors, and internal teams — making sure every generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS) installation is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standard.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in electrical construction, generator/standby power systems, or a related fieldwith abackground in inside sales, field electrical work, or as a generator technician strongly preferred
• A customer-first, solutions-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skillsalong with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and specifications
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
• Proficiencywith NetSuite or a similar ERP/project management platformrequired
• Proficiencyin Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); familiarity with scheduling tools a plus
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
